Broadband router.
When you register for Internet access, you will only be able to use one IP address. This means that you only will be able to use one computer in your apartment. A broadband router offers the possibility to use several computers via a service called NAT (Network address translation).
Setting up your router
The broadband router's WAN / Internet interface should be configured with recieve an IP address automatically (DHCP). How you configure your router is specific to the model that you own. Follow the instructions manual that you recieved with your broadband router.
