Guldheden, a valuable environment

Dr. Lindh's street in Guldheden has been named in memory of Alrik Lindh, chief surgeon at Sahlgrenska hospital at the end of the 19th century.

Guldheden was built 1949 - 1953 is centrally located and is part of Gothenburg's conservation program for Valuable Environments. You live here with approx. 15 - 20 minutes' walking distance to Chalmers. You are close to Fysiken and Mossen's sports field with exercise loops. There are service shops on the nearby Dr Fries Square. Here is close to Chalmers and Sahlgrenska.

Important information for tenants applying for an apartment in this area

SGS Studentbostäder does not own these apartments but rents them from another property owner. SGS in turn, rents these to students. This means that you as a tenant will live in a building among non-students. 

In the rental relations between SGS and the property owner, SGS is not responsible for repairs or maintenance in the property. Instead, SGS forwards fault reports to the property owner. This may lead to longer processing time compared to if you lived in an apartment owned by SGS.

Many of the areas were built during the 1950’ and 60’s which means that the state of the apartments may vary.

It is of utmost importance that you check the apartment before you decide to accept the housing offer.

Electricity

If you rent a single room at Dr Lindhs gata 1, 3 and 6, electricity is included in the rent.

If you rent a flat at Dr Lindhs gata 4, electricity is not included in the rent. You’re moving in will be reported by us to Brf Dr Lindh and through their auditor they will charge you for the electricity. A separate bill will be sent to you by post.

A communal attic store marked 1001. The room key fits the padlock.
APTUS key tab to the house's front door goes to the attic.
You have one lockable wardrobe each in the corridor, the room key fits.

Dr Lindhs gata 6:
You have one lockable wardrobe each in the corridor, the room key fits.

Dr Lindhs gata 3 and 4:
An attic store for each flat.
APTUS key tab to the house's front door goes to the attic.
Check that the store is empty and then padlock it even if you would not use the store.

 

Internet

Internet through fiber optics is installed in the rooms/apartments with the speed of 250/100mbit. You access internet by connecting your computer to the router placed in the room/apartment via an internet cable. The Internet fee is charged through the rental invoice. TV

TV through fiber optics is installed in the aprtment/room with a basic supply of 12 channels. You access these channels by connecting your tv to the digital tv box placed in your apartment/room. Household waste/source separation/recycling

Garbage room on the entrance floor in each building:
Household waste, boxes (folded/cutted apart), bio waste in special sacs, paper/newspapers.

 

Environmental station at Syster Estrids gata 1:
Glass bottles, plastics and metal.

 

Waste room, Dr Lindhs gata (south end):
“Marginal bulky waste”. Also electronics (TV, computers, printers, toasters etc), small batteries, low energy lamps, fluorescent lamps, white goods (refrigerator/freezer), burnable waste (furniture). 

Regarding sanitary ware, construction waste, paint, car battery, other hazardous waste each member of the association/each tenant is responsible for this to be left on one of Gothenburg’s municipal recycling facilities, e g Högsbo industrial area (Högsbo industriområde), A Odhners gata, phone 031-61 85 30, www.renova.se

Please note that the bins outside the houses may not be used for household garbage and glass bottles.

 

Cleaning

Easier cleaning of corridor, toilet and kitchen is performed regularly. You as a tenant still need to clean the common areas yourself. Keep surfaces free by setting your belongings in your room or in a cupboard. This only applies to single rooms. In the apartments you are responsible for the cleaning yourself.

 

Cleaning when moving out

Each tenant is responsible for cleaning the WC, shower room, kitchen and corridor. The tenants should also remove personal belongings from these spaces. If it is found flaws in the moving out cleaning, SGS has the right to bill the tenant for the associated cost to hire a cleaning company.
